While we are principally an instrument and accessory dealer, “Consultants” is in our name. We are now providing more ways than ever to get the benefits of our expertise with and without hardware purchases.
Direct Artist Consultations
Our Consulting Artists make themselves available to our clients in a variety of settings to assist in the identification and selection of the right instrument for a client. Each Artist has their own approach and fee structure for how they work. Contact us for more information on how to connect with one or more of our Artists, and to discuss your needs and their processes to find the perfect instrument for you.
Consultation With Purchase
This is our standard service. Whether it is an instrument or an accessory, we work with our clients in-person, by e-mail, or using any of a variety of real-time conferencing services to arrive at the right selections to suit your performance demands. There are no additional charges if you make a purchase from PWIC unless you retain a Consulting Artist as part of your purchase process.
Consultation Without Purchase
If you need expert assistance with technical issues with your set-up, selection coaching for new or used instrument and accessory purchases, troubleshooting, or anything else equipment-related, we are available on an hourly basis in-studio or online at a rate of $120/hr. Sessions are booked and paid in advance in one hour blocks. No purchase necessary.
Appraisals
We will prepare appraisals that are appropriate for insurance, estate, tax and other purposes on request. There is no cost for an appraisal for an instrument or accessory purchases from PWIC. Fees for appraising equipment we did not sell are based on the amount of work including research required to arrive at the appraisal, such as for vintage gear in an estate settlement situation.
